Weltevrede Wine Estate

Weltevrede Wine Estate embarked on an ambitious development to create two unique underground wine tasting experiences, one dedicated to Chardonnay and the other to Cap Classique. The project also included the renovation and transformation of the existing tasting area, the development of a new garden and landscape design, an additional tasting facility for a sub-brand, and restaurant facilities.

Commencing in March 2019, the project presented significant challenges when the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented disruption to the industry. Despite these challenges, the FBM team remained committed to the vision and continued to execute the project with determination and resilience. The full scope of works was successfully completed in June 2022.

The success of the project was recognised when Weltevrede Estate received Great Wine Capitals of the World awards for Architecture & Landscaping and Innovative Wine Tasting Experience, highlighting the exceptional quality and creativity achieved through the development.
